About the project
The project integrates housing, guidance, security, well-being, and community life in an environment designed for autonomy and belonging. More than just housing infrastructure, it seeks to make residential life part of the UC education: a daily experience of coexistence, responsibility, diversity, intercultural encounters, and support networks that facilitate retention and the unleashing of talent.
Project Pillars
Supportive security
The project envisions a safe and welcoming environment, with access control, caregivers, and student advisors who safeguard daily life.
A home with identity
The rooms and common spaces are designed so that each student can take ownership of their experience and recognize the residence as part of their UC journey.
Community and coexistence
Residential life is organized into small communities and shared spaces that promote peer support, cultural integration, and daily bonds.
Autonomy and adult life
Kitchens, laundries, study rooms, and common areas help students develop independence, responsibility, and permanent support networks.
Why does it transform Chile?
- It expands opportunities for talented young people to access, remain, and unleash their potential at UC.
- It establishes a residential experience that strengthens autonomy, coexistence, well-being, and community life.
- It contributes to a more diverse, inclusive, and intercultural university, connected to the regions and the world.
Who benefits
Students from other regions, international students, graduate students, families, the university community, and UC as an institution. It will transform the university experience for those living in the residence and foster a more diverse, connected, and educational community.
